Something to consider: What is your emotional connection to food?

It’s true that food does more than feed the body. There are emotional reasons (too many to count) for eating different foods. Not all are bad and harmful … but sometimes, they can be.

If it soothes your negative emotions, this will lead to overeating. Why? Because deep down, you know that the momentary comfort from food will never take care of what’s causing your negative emotions.

Consider talking about it with a trusted friend or counselor. 

Consider journaling or finding a non-food soothing replacement.

Basically, get help. Stop harming yourself.
