So you know that I love to sleep. I preach about it constantly. It’s my superpower! So here is another fun fact about the power of sleep!
Did you know that getting an extra hour of sleep can reduce your daily food intake by approximately 160 calories? So if you need an extra 1-3 hours of sleep, imagine how much less you’ll eat in the day! That can add up to cutting your calorie intake by more than 1,000 in a week!
That’s it! No huge change other than getting a good night’s sleep.
Why? Lack of sleep negatively impacts hunger, appetite, and satiety hormones, which leads to increased food cravings. Plus, you have more opportunities in your waking hours to act on those cravings!
